Taylor Swift

This morning I downloaded the new Taylor Swift song, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together". Super long title , but it is probably her best song yet! I love how she writes songs about real situations that would actually happen in a teenagers life, and anybody's life really. I love Taylor Swift!!! I cannot wait until her album "Red" comes out in October! :)

Divergent

I recently read Divergent by Veronica Roth. This book had everything that I look in a book: action, a good plot, great writing, new words to learn, and a little bit of romance! ;) This book was also a dystopian book which I always love to read! Other dystopian books that I have come to love is the Hunger Games and the Uglies series. Awesome books and definitely recommend them.
Divergent was awesome because it had that "I have to find out what's going to happen" effect on it. I could not put it down! I do admit that I fell asleep once while trying to read it, but that was only because I was very tired! While I was reading this book, I was always predicting what was going to happen as I crept closer to the end. This book had a lot of twists and turns in it that were unexpected.
Even though this book was action-filled, there were some parts (okay, a lot) that had a lot of violence. One of those things I love is when you see the "hero" injured, but doesn't keep her/his head down.
A great read and would recommend to anyone!

Summertime!!!!

School has ended and summer has begun!!! I spent my last day of school seeing my cousin graduate from high school! It was a great ceremony and it made me start to think of my own graduation coming up in two years!!! Only two years left, and I am so excited and scared at the same time! This school year was awesome! I spent a lot of time with friends, said goodbye to a couple of my closest friends, and avoided one of my teachers like the plague!
The start of summer would have been even better if I was not sick :( I will be so glad when this virus(es) finally leave my system! Even though I would have loved to go on vacation this summer to somewhere with a beach, I am loving some quiet time in my home for a change.
Summer cannot possibly last long enough! I have until August 20th to really relax before reality sets in again!

9 DAYS!!!! :)

Only 9 days left until I am finally off for summer!!!!! I am so excited and sad at the same time. I am excited to have some free time for relaxing and maybe reading a book for a change! But, I am also sad for the next school year. I will be a junior in high school and my best friend will be moving to our local school district for school next year instead of finishing up her last two years at our school. :( Hopefully we will be able to spend some time together over the summer and maybe next year, too. On another note, I am so excited to be a junior! I will be taking a lot of different classes than I was this year. I will take AP English, concurrent chemistry, PE, concurrent U.S. History, Integrated Alg./Trig, econ, speech, and advanced Spanish II. This will definitely be a tough year, but I can't wait to begin!!!!

Update

From my last post, school has changed just a bit. Our "fun" teacher is mostly strict and it is very hard to pass any of his presentations. However, I do love his teaching style. He always relates everything to today's society, which makes it easier for us to understand.
The spanish teacher is so much fun though! I do not mind getting up and speaking anymore. His latest ego moment was when he asked his teacher aide to put in the audio CD for us and he said anything for you. My teacher replied with "you should always answer your wish is my command". He is very funny and really helpful when you do not understand what you are trying to talk about!
Tomorrow starts the second semester of this year and I have decided (with a little help from my favorite teacher) to take a college credit course. I am sure this semester will be great!
